Generous donations during our Grand Opening to support the Winclove Noodfonds (Emergency Fund)

At the Grand Opening of our new Winclove Probiotics location we asked our business partners and other guests to donate to the Winclove Noodfonds. We feel humbled and honored to announce that we have received a total of €9.775,- in donations.

This emergency fund helps those most in need within our community, North Amsterdam. This special emergency fund is managed by the Doras Foundation, a social partner close to our hearts. The Doras Foundation started in 2000 as the institute for social services in North Amsterdam; they are committed to improving the many vulnerable ‘Northies’. District residents can go there for advice and assistance in the areas of welfare work, social work and debt relief.

The amount was handed over to Doras Foundation on May 7, when the CEO of Doras Foundation/ neighborhood teams and staff came to visit our new premises.

Els Annegarn, welfare worker at the Doras Foundation: “During corona Maarten said ‘So many people are having problems, we want to offer a kind of emergency fund.’ Then Winclove donated an amount of money that I administer. That emergency fund is really great for people who are acutely in need of food or diapers. With the ‘Winclove fund’ we help people through the difficult times.”

We are incredibly grateful for our business partners and other guests who support our goal of helping our planet, and for their generous donations, which allow us to help many vulnerable people in our community.
