Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
It’s ingrained in our DNA to support people and our community, starting from our roots in North Amsterdam. We collaborate with local stakeholders like the government, entrepreneurs and schools to initiate projects that aim to provide equal opportunities in the job market and create employment – helping those in need.

Sharing our knowledge at primary schools
Many schools in North Amsterdam touch upon important topics like quality of life and health. These subjects are deeply meaningful to us too, and we’re eager to share our knowledge with the children in our community. Together with ARTIS/Micropia, we’ve created the ‘Samen in Noord’ Education Programme. Over 12 weeks, we educate children about nutrition, exercise, gut health and the role of bacteria. They also have an opportunity to visit Micropia and our company, where they receive a tour of our lab, production area and office and have the chance to ‘speed date’ with our staff members.
Association of Companies in North-Amsterdam (VEBAN)
The VEBAN serves as the entrepreneurs’ association for North Amsterdam, acting as a hub for local businesses. Through monthly networking events, it fosters a thriving enterprise environment in the area. Winclove Probiotics actively participates in VEBAN, working together to encourage other local companies to engage in social initiatives, such as co-organising an Open Company Day.
Helping Doras / Social Partnership
The Doras Foundation, established in 2000, serves as North-Amsterdam’s social services institute. Residents can seek advice and assistance there on welfare, social work and debt relief.
Winclove Probiotics helps Doras in the following ways:
• The Winclove Fund: an emergency fund to assist in hardship cases.
• Language Mates: Neighbourhood walks in North Amsterdam with multilingual neighbours to practice Dutch and learn about Dutch culture.
• Stroll and See the Neighbourhood: newcomers to North Amsterdam receive a warm welcome with a walk through the district.
• Doras and Crisis Shelter Christmas Packages: Winclove sends promotional gifts and other donations here.
The most socially engaged enterprise in North-Amsterdam
For our active contribution to, and participation in, these various social initiatives, MKB-Nederland has awarded us the title ‘Most Socially Engaged Enterprise in North Amsterdam’. Our contribution to society was also a major factor in acquiring our B Corp certification.
